  2. I spent every day with your mom when you kids were little. I remember when she told me she was pregnant with Rachel - she was so happy! And how could I forget her sweeping into my hospital room with a basket of apple muffins after Jim was born - so excited for me to have a boy.

May her memory be for a blessing.

My best to my friend's beautiful daughters ---

  3. I am not good with words, especially in sad times. Just know that my heart is heavy with this news. I never even met your Mother in person, but knew her to have been a bright and shining light in this world. It is apparent that she has raised 3 incredible daughters. May her love of life, great sense of humor, and strength live on in you three. I will miss her. hugs, CeRae

  4. I am so sorry for your loss. Like CeRae, I never met your Mom but we corresponded about cookie decorating and breast cancer, two things we had in common. I frequently checked her blog to see how she was doing and was so incredibly sad to hear of her death. She was such a inspiration to me and I was in awe of her strength and determination to beat this horrible disease. It was so evident from her posts how proud she was of you and how much she loved you. Please know that she touched many people with her kind and loving spirit. Sincerely, Susan Kulungian.

  5. It is with great sadness that I heard the news of your mother's passing. I met her as a fellow cookie decorator, back on our days on Cake Central, and grew to love her spirit, tenacity and outlook on life. She was truly an inspiration and someone who really touched my life as well as that of so many around her. She was truly a wonderful woman. As CeRae said, she will live on through the three of you and her memory will surely continue to touch lives. I know that I will be thinking of her and her incredible spirit often. Getting to know her was a true blessing. Sincerely, Tracy Hicks

  6. I'm so sad to hear of Joanne's passing. Joanne (or JJ as we called her) went to camp Rawhide Ranch together in the early 70's. We spent our days riding through the Catskill mountains on great adventures. JJ was a fun, engaging and warm person and we shared a lot of great times. Joanne 'found' me on facebook a few years ago and I treasure the time we corresponded as adults. I'm grateful that she took the time to find me; it meant a lot to me to reconnect with an old, dear friend.
